What we collect on the magazine site, how we use it, and how to reach us
Last updated: 13 October 2026
The Fentos Magazine (“we”) publishes stories at thefentosmagazine.com. This page covers how we handle personal information when you read the site, write to the desk, or join a letter list.
What we collect
If you email us or send a pitch, we receive the address and the message you write. If you subscribe to a newsletter, we store the email you submit. Our host may keep standard server logs — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — to keep the site running and secure.
You do not need an account to read articles. We do not sell personal information.
How we use it
We use contact details to reply to readers and contributors, send letters you asked for, and protect the site from abuse. We share information with service providers who help us host, send email, or secure the magazine — and as needed for those jobs — or when the law requires it.
Cookies
On a first visit we show a cookie notice. Essential cookies remember your choice and keep the site working. Optional analytics run if you choose Accept all. Choose Essential only if you prefer not to. To change later, clear site data for thefentosmagazine.com in your browser, or email privacy@thefentosmagazine.com.
Retention and security
We keep contact and newsletter records while they are useful for that purpose, then delete or anonymize them unless we must keep them longer for legal or security reasons. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or unsubscribe from letters using the link in any email. Write to privacy@thefentosmagazine.com. General desk mail: hello@thefentosmagazine.com.
Children and other sites
The magazine is aimed at a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. Articles may link out; those sites have their own practices.
Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do.
